Sales Associate Programme

We are the largest securities brokerage in Singapore. From equities, bonds and unit trusts to contracts for difference (CFDs) and foreign exchange, we have the right solutions for every type of investors.

As a professional equity sales dealer, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and assist them in equities dealings and investment in other financial products, and building relationships, among others, in this fast-pace and exciting environment.

You should have

  • Keen interests in keeping up with developments in key financial markets;

As an equity sales dealer, you responsibilities include

  • Prospecting and acquiring new retail clients, and servicing their investment needs through our range of products such as Singapore equities & global equities, bonds, CFD, LFX and unit trust;
  • Actively involving in educating clients through conducting investment workshops;
  • Providing trading and investment support for your clients;
  • Participating in roadshows.

Responsibilities

  3. Able to work independently; possess good inter-personal and communication skills
  4. Candidates who passed CMFAS Modules 1A and 6 will have an advantage, but this is not essential
  5. You should have at least 4 years of working experience, preferably in a sales position

Junior Trader

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma/Degree in Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Business or equivalent
  • Keen interest in financial market; passion for dealing in stocks and shares
  • High achiever and target driven
  • Able to work independently; possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidates who passed CMFAS Modules 1A, 5, 6 are preferred and with 6A - it is an added advantage
 

Dealing Assistant

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Candidates must passed CMFAS Modules M1A, 5 and 6
  • Passion in financial market; especially in stocks and shares

Contract Officer

Responsibilities 

  1. Processing of SGX and foreign markets contracts
  2. Compilation of data for Regulatory and Management reporting
  3. Identify gap and suggest solutions for operational workflow
  4. Attend to trading representatives' enquires
  5. Handle administrative duties and ad-hoc projects

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years relevant experience in trade operations either in stockbroking firms, custodians or banks
  • A team player with good interpersonal, writing and communicating skills
  • Able to work independently and on extended hours
 

Corporate Finance Associate/Senior Associate

Responsibilities 

  1. Assist in managing day to day execution for corporate finance deals
  2. Perform financial analysis of companies and other valuation related work
  3. Develop and prepare client presentation materials and reports
  4. Conduct industry and company research and carry out due diligence on transactions
  5. Interface with clients and other stakeholders

Senior Associate Level

  1. Manage transaction logistics with minimal supervision
  2. Lead small group discussions for corporate finance transactiions

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Accounting/Economics
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • High energy level and demonstrated ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Self motivated, results driven and resourceful individual
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English
  • Master of accounting, investment and finance is preferred
  • Preferably with 1-2 years of corporate finance or audit experience

Senior Associate Level

  • Prior experience in corporate finance required
  • Technically sound for basic corporate finance transactions
  • Preliminary ability to identify issues for corporate finance transactions
  • General awareness of business environments & equity markets
 

Custody Officer

Responsibilities 

  1. Ensure timely and accurate corporate action processing and clients’ entitlement
  2. Document and process clients’ stock transfer requests
  3. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma and above
  • Good team player and able to work independently
  • Customer oriented with good communication skills
  • Internet savvy and proficient in Microsoft words and excel
  • Working experience in the financial sector would be an advantage  
 

Internal Auditor (IT)

You will report to the Associate Director (Internal Audit).  Your main responsibility is to carry out IT audits and assessing IT risks and controls over the Company’s IT systems to ensure that compliance with the governing authorities’ regulatory requirements as well as compliance with company’s security policies and internal control procedures.  These audits include technical reviews (including operating systems, databases and applications), general computer control reviews, business process / application controls reviews, data centre reviews, infrastructure and network security reviews.  Travelling around the region is expected.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree / Professional qualification in Computer Science (specialising in Information Systems Management or IT Security) or its equivalent with 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Candidates who are without experience but currently taking relevant professional qualification can be considered. Those who have just graduated are also encouraged to apply.
  • Specialised audit expertise in specific IT areas such as networks (e.g. firewalls, routers, switches and infrastructure), operating systems (e.g. Windows, UNIX), databases (MS-SQL, Oracle), mainframe (AS/400) and client-server technology would be advantageous.
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Independent worker with strong analytical ability, high level of integrity, drive and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work with PC-based applications software.
 

Internal Auditor (Operations)

You will report to the Senior Internal Audit Manager. Your main responsibility is to carry out financial / operational audits, business process reviews and compliance audits to ensure that the company complies with the governing authorities’ rules and regulations as well as with the company’s policies and internal control procedures.

These duties will include:

  1. Developing audit plans and programs, and reviewing systems of internal controls
  2. Performing audit tests to determine compliance with prevailing policies and procedures
  3. Evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness in accomplishment of objectives and goals established for various organisational and functional activities within the Group
  4. Identifying critical issues and recommending the appropriate courses of action / improvements for the organisation’s operations
  5. Prepare information on audit findings, and feedback to immediate supervisor, and to follow up on agreed actions from previous audits
  6. Travelling around the region is expected

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree / Professional qualification in Accountancy with at least 1 year of relevant working experience Candidates who are currently taking professional qualification in Accountancy and fresh graduates can be considered
  • Knowledge of local legislation such as Securities and Futures Act and Regulations, Commodity Trading Act and Singapore Exchange Rules; would be advantageous
  • Possess high level of integrity with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, good verbal and writing skills, willingness to learn, ability to multi-task and has drive and sense of urgency
  • A team player that is also able to work autonomously
  • Ability to work with PC-based applications software
 

Investment Analyst

Responsibilities:

  1. Screen through research reports by various financial institutions
  2. Analyze current and past financial data and performance
  3. Comprehend company fundamentals, market trends and macro environmental conditions
  4. Sift through large amounts of information to propose and highlight research product ideas
  5. Create and prepare multiple product ideas notes weekly
  6. Consolidate and maintain pitch books, monthly summaries and any other related presentation materials.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or CFA qualification
  • Preferably 1-3 years of equity investment research.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Drive, tenacity and ability to work independently, even under pressure.
  • All-rounded knowledge of different industries will be advantageous as candidates may have to cover diverse industries.
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
 

Private Wealth Equity Analyst
The Private Wealth Equity Analyst reports to and assists the Head of Retail Research in preparing client presentation materials. He/she will analyze the financial and operating status of listed companies and sectors by collecting, monitoring, and studying data (secondary research); writing recommendation products such as product idea sales notes and pitchbooks.

Responsibilities 

  1. Screen through research reports by various financial institutions
  2. Analyse current and past financial data and performance
  3. Comprehend company fundamentals, market trends and macro environmental conditions
  4. Sift through large amounts of information to propose and highlight research product ideas
  5. Create and prepare multiple product ideas notes weekly
  6. Consolidate and maintain pitchbooks, monthly summaries and any other related presentation materials
  7. Assist and provide other support functions required to the Head of Retail Research

Requirements

  • Able to rapidly comprehend large amounts of information
  • Able to read fluently in English and Mandarin
  • Able to write proficiently in Engllish
  • Expert‐level analytical and strategical thinking
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • A team player who is able to communicate well
  • Willingness to work long hours, when necessary
  • One to two years of experience in the financial, consulting or accounting field would be viewed favourably.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics, business administration or another related field.
 

Senior Credit Analyst/Credit Manager

Responsibilities 

  1. Providing in-depth credit and fundamental analysis including assessment and valuation of multiple asset classes (e.g. listed shares, bonds, derivatives, structured products, properties, etc) as potential collateral
  2. Reviewing and analyzing regional capital market activities and corporate actions (e.g. privatization, corporate takeover, rights issue, IPO, etc).
  3. Presenting financing proposals to the Credit Committee and addressing all credit queries pertaining to the financing requests.
  4. Reviewing and preparing legal documentation before activation of the credit facility, and ensuring proper compliance with local and international regulations and the UOB Kay Hian credit policy guidelines.

Pre-requisites

  • A good degree preferably in Accounting and Finance, CFA, CA or MBA from a reputable university
  • At least 5-6 years of credit and financial analysis experience, preferably from a reputable financial institution.
  • Some security documentation experience would be desirable.
  • A good working knowledge and understanding of companies listed on the regional stock exchanges will be useful and advantageous 
  • Effectively bilingual for regional coverage
  • Numerate, analytical, well organized, able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
 

Settlement Officer

Responsibilities 

  1. Processing of overseas trades, Leverage FX and OTC products
  2. Verify and reconcile dealing tickets and incoming trade confirmations
  3. Resolution of unmatched trade positions and  settlement failures
  4. Liaise with institutional clients, banks, counterparty brokers and liquidity provider on trade settlement issues
  5. Identify gaps and enhance operational workflow

Requirements

  • A team player with good interpersonal, writing and communicating skills
  • Able to work independently and on extended hours
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Omgeo Oasys
  • 1 - 2 years relevant experience in trade operations either in stockbroking firms, custodians or banks
  • Entry Level candidates with keen interest in stockbroking operations will also be considered
 

Technical Analyst

Responsibilities 

  1. To provide technical analysis solution on a wide variety of instrument with a focus on equities, equity indices and forex
  2. To demonstrate working knowledge of technical indication, price patterns and strategies

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree or CFTe - Certified Financial Technician
  • Proficient in technical charting software – ChartNexus
  • Experience in fundamental analysis would be an advantage

Institutional Sales - Based in Canada, Toronto office

Reporting to the Head of office, the successful candidate will be responsible for: -

  • Developing new institutional client relationships and business in the US and Canada
  • Providing support to the Head of office
  • Working with other colleagues to resolve institutional clients’ inquiries and other business requirements

Pre-requisites

  • Degree from reputable university
  • Team player with good interpersonal, marketing and analytical skills
  • Willing to work long hours and able to follow instructions
  • Able to make cold calls to prospect and meet clients. Methodological, creative and proactive in their approach to prospective clients
  • Candidates with good knowledge of the markets in the Far East, and their languages and/or candidates with product knowledge and sales experience will be preferred
  • Candidates with prior experience dealing with North American institutional clients will be especially preferred.
  • Series 7 and 63 licences a plus
