Ascott REIT Presentation
Ascott Residence Trust (“Ascott REIT”) was established with the objective of investing primarily in real estate and real estate-related assets which are income-producing and which are used or predominantly used, as serviced residences, rental housing properties and other hospitality assets.

Ascott REIT’s total assets have quadrupled to over S$4.9 billion since it was listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”) in March 2006, making it the largest hospitality real estate investment trust listed on SGX-ST. Ascott REIT’s international portfolio comprises 90 properties with 11,649 units in 38 cities across 14 countries in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. Ascott REIT was awarded ‘Best REIT (Asia)’ by World Finance magazine at its Real Estate Awards in 2015.

Ascott REIT’s serviced residences are operated under the Ascott, Citadines and Somerset brands, and are mainly located in key gateway cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, London, Manila, Munich, New York, Paris, Perth, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.

Ascott REIT is managed by Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Ascott Limited and an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of CapitaLand Limited, one of Asia’s largest real estate companies.

Speakers' Profiles

Mr Chua I-Min, CFA, is the Lead Instructor for Investor Education with A.B. Maximus & Co. Pte. Ltd. He conducts regular classes for SGX Academy in fundamental analysis, stock valuation, REITs and property stocks investments. His flagship program titled "Create a Secondary Income Stream through Long Term Share Investing" has been well received by retail investors. A book with the same title has been written to reach out to a wider audience.

Mr Ronald Tay is responsible for spearheading the overall strategic planning and leading the implementation of the business, investment and operational strategies for Ascott REIT. With total assets of over S$4.9 billion, Ascott REIT is currently the largest hospitality real estate investment trust listed on the SGX-ST. Prior to taking up the role as Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tay was concurrently Chief Investment Officer of The Ascott Limited and Head of Business Development and Asset Management of the Ascott REIT until February 2012.
