SG Market Outlook & Small / Mid Cap Ideas

28 June 2021
6.30pm - 7.30pm

SG Market Outlook

Year-to-date the Singapore market has done well, beating all of the other indices in the region. We will look at whether this strong performance can continue and explore the opportunities and threats to the market, and whether the recent flare-up in COVID-19 community cases will be a drag to the STI's performance. We will also profile 10 stocks that we believe could be worthwhile additions to your portfolio.

Small / Mid Cap Ideas

Since our recommendations from the previous Analyst Week in Jan 2021, the share prices of two of our top picks - Innotek and Food Empire have rallied around 40% and 20% respectively. Join us as we reveal more small and mid cap gems that could potentially outperform the STI Index. We will also share a stock that has a solid balance sheet and strong market share in China.

SG Banks & REITs

The recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic has been uneven but Singapore Banks are well capitalised and able to weather this recovery. We will assess the impact on Singapore Banks in terms of outlook for bond yields and interest rates, economy recovery and dividend payout.

Discover why blue chip S-REITs and laggard S-REITs are worth considering to have in your portfolio. We like blue chip S-REITs focusing on new economy assets such as business parks, logistics & warehouse and data centres. We will also review our previous selection of five laggard S-REITs and re-assess if we should continue riding these winners.

Regional Aviation & Plantation

30 June 2021
6.30pm - 7.30pm

Regional Aviation

The long waiting game. The market is now coming to terms with the likelihood that borders are unlikely to open up materially in 2021. This would lead to continued cash burn for airlines, airports and aviation support services. Chinese airlines with strong domestic travel recovery could offer a trading opportunity in 2H21. We will address the key considerations on investing in the aviation industry.

Plantation

Crude palm oil (CPO) price hits all time high due to the global tightness of edible oils. However, plantation stocks that are listed in SGX are performing in tandem with the rising CPO price. We will share with you what is capping the price to perform and how you should be investing in this sector to benefit from this rising CPO price trend.
